Listings are Here!!!!

Welcome to M.E.T.E.R. on the WCBN! This system combines:
- Matchmaking
- Encounters
- Tournaments
- Exhibitions
- Requests

All in one place, so you can post or accept any type of open challenge or community call-to-action, called a Meter Card.

--------------------------------------------
1. WHAT IS A METER CARD?
--------------------------------------------
- A single "card" that represents:
  - A help request (e.g., "Looking for combo advice!")
  - A bounty or challenge("First to 5 wins for 50 Fight Money")
  - A tournament sign-up (mini bracket, bigger event)
  - A showmatch or exhibition (like a FT10 grudge match)
  - Any community request (video editing help, volunteering, etc.)

Think of a Meter Card like a posted "quest"—everyone sees it and can comment or claim it.

--------------------------------------------
2. HOW DO I CREATE A METER CARD?
--------------------------------------------
1. **Click "Create New Meter Card"** in the M.E.T.E.R. section.
2. **Choose a Category**: Matchmaking, Encounters, Tournaments, Exhibitions, or Requests.
3. **Fill in Details**: Title, description, reward (if any), deadline, proof method.
4. **Post** to share with everyone!

--------------------------------------------
3. HOW DO I RESPOND TO A CARD?
--------------------------------------------
1. **Browse** the open cards in M.E.T.E.R.
2. **Comment** on the one you want to tackle.
3. Coordinate with the poster (schedule match, discuss logistics, etc.).
4. **Complete** the card (show your proof, share a replay, or have a mod confirm).
5. Reward (if offered) is then **transferred** (e.g., Fight Money, achievement, or badge).

--------------------------------------------
4. WHERE DOES FIGHT MONEY FIT IN?
--------------------------------------------
- If a Card offers a **Fight Money** reward, the poster (or an admin) handles giving you that currency once the card is complete.
- **Earn** Fight Money from M.E.T.E.R. Cards, tournaments, or community tasks.
- **Spend** it in the WCBN Shop on badges, icons, name colors, or exclusive perks.

--------------------------------------------
5. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
--------------------------------------------
- **One-Stop Hub** for challenges, help requests, tournaments, and collabs.
- **Earn Rewards**: Fight Money, achievements, bragging rights.
- **Grow the Community**: More people see your post, so you'll find partners or accomplish tasks faster.
- **Build Your Reputation**: Successful completions can earn you achievements or special status in WCBN.

--------------------------------------------
6. TIPS FOR SUCCESS
--------------------------------------------
- **Be Specific**: When posting a Card, include clear instructions, rewards, and deadlines.
- **Communicate**: Use the card's comment thread to arrange times or share proof.
- **Moderation**: If issues arise, tag a mod or admin for help.
- **Have Fun!** M.E.T.E.R. is meant to spark more matches, bigger events, and cool projects in the FGC!

Home / Announcements / PREFIX GUIDE!!!!
Jul 03, 2025, 07:14 PM
Sometimes, posting here will ask you to use a prefix to state your region. It helps when you are posting about local events or meetups that you're hosting and generally advertising!! Today, i wanted to provide a shorthand guide for all the prefixes availible on the WCBN.

As we are based in Southern California, i've allotted for the use of SoCal related regional prefixes. Feel free to comment and recommend the use of new ones!!!

| Code      | Location      | Notes                        |
| --------- | ------------- | ---------------------------- |
| \[LA]     | Los Angeles   |                         |
| \[OC]     | Orange County |         |
| \[SAC]    | Sacramento    | NorCal                       |
| \[BAY]    | Bay Area      | San Francisco, Oakland, etc. |
| \[SD]     | San Diego     |                              |
| \[FRESNO] | Fresno        | Central California           |
| \[ONLINE] | Online Only   | For remote events            |
| \[PNW]    | Pacific NW    | Optional (Portland/Seattle)  |
| \[INLAND] | Inland Empire | Riverside/San Bernardino     |

if you don't feel comfortable doing it for certain posts, you definitely do not have to!!!

Hello!!! It's me, Tyler/Nonimeg!!! Lately, we've seen a BUNCH(and I mean a bunch) of fighting games get announced relatively recently!!! Between big studios and indie developers, there's a lot of new projects releasing within the Summer 2025-Autumn 2026 Time Window. With these games, we see different formats celebrate the diversity and history of the tag genre- 2v2, 3v3, even 4v4 action with Marvel (but not capcom???) returning to the fray, partnering up with Arc System Works.
My question is, how do you feel about it? Fighting games are known to have tons of cool mechanics, and lately Tag Fighters have been trying to innovate and move forward with it's battle systems. Mechanics like Active Tag differ from games without it, like MVC3. Some games have gotten rid of incoming to return both players to neutral, other games just have incoming off the bat. Some may not even make you play all of the characters you pick(????)

What are your thoughts and opinions? Do you like Tag games? Dislike them? are any of the new ones gonna get you interested in the genre?

Here's the current list we've got running right now .

Hunter X Hunter: Nen Impact (2025)
Marvel: Tokon Fighting Souls (2026)
Invincible VS(2026)
Saturday AM: Battle Manga(2026)
2XKO(2027)

Nen impact is made by Eighting, devs who made MVC3!!! It has a local multiplayer 6 character demo out right now!!!! It's traditional 3v3, but does not have traditional special motion inputs.

Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls is made by Arc System Works, in a shocking collaboration announcement made even more exciting from the visuals showing off 4 on 4 gameplay. We still wonder to this day what the buttons will be. However, one of the more shocking announcements was that "we don't have to play with all 4 characters." Will they all share one healthbar?

Invincible VS is created by Skybound and Quarter Up games, staffed by people who worked on the new iteration of Killer Instinct. While having a special button instead of motion inputs, it seems closer to DBFZ in it's gameplay style of launching with heavies. Featuring a Omni-Combo system that allows you to extend combos based around tagging in, it seems like we'll be getting used to the entire team more intimately than other games.

Saturday AM: Battle Manga was just announced, but is definitely coming out hitting strong with anime fighitng game modder and developer WistfulHopes announcing their involvement on twitter with the game, as well as the IP being of an indie comic developer!!! While we don't have footage, we have an announcement on gematsu that reveals 2 of the dev's titular characters from their works.

2XKO is being worked on by the team who did rising thunder!!! Rising Thunder wasn't a tag game, but had 3 special buttons for each of the characters. This new game is continuing the trend!!!!!!
